the verbatim quotes are critical. numbers persuade analytically. quotes persuade emotionally. the combination is what makes a brief actionable.
phase 5: decide and archive (15 minutes)
read the brief. make the decision. write it down. then archive everything: zip the raw materials, label the folder, move on.
if the brief leaves you unable to decide, you have a clear signal: you need more data, or the question is wrong. either way, do not pretend the synthesis is done.
